Organic Farming

Organic Farming is simply ‘the process of naturally producing the food’. This process evades the use of synthetic chemicals and genetically modified organisms that influence the crop growth. Primary motive behind Organic Cultivation is to minimize the adverse effects on ecology and maximize healthy living through nutritious food.

Organic farming is scientifically recommended for quality health and nutrition when compared with conventional and chemical based methods.

At EarthenDelight, we achieve superior standards by adhering to three basic fundamentals of Organic Farming.

One, Principal of Interdependency

Every farm is typically a replica of a systemic ecosystem. The essential elements of ecosystem are self sufficient and interdependent, balancing the ecology. For instance, N2 levels are maintained in the soil for fine cultivation and crop-rotation. Eventually, excess N2 creates favorable conditions for weeds. Instead of pruning to hazardous chemicals for weed control, we grow alternative crops to balance the N2 levels, where by achieving a balanced ecology within the farm.

Two, Principle of Diversity

The principle of diversity facilitates ecosystems within the broader spectrum of Ecosystem. Participation of systems like pond ecosystem, soil ecosystem and cycles like Oxygen, Nitrogen, Phosphorous cycles facilitate the complex process of crop rotation and diversity. Efficient planning of compound crops and livestock would optimize the utility of sensitive ecological elements besides escalating the scope of food productivity, processing and commerce.

Three, Principal of Recycling

Recycling substantiates the idea of Organic waste in our farms. The entire plant and animal residue is used to season the soil where by enhancing the soil fertility for future crops. Drip irrigation methods are in place to restrict the weed as and when viable. This is a simple process of restricting water supply to plant lines during the recycling process. This method not only brings organic waste to utility but also preserves ecology through soil conservation.

Soil Fertility Mechanism

At EarthenDelight, we strive constantly to preserve and enhance the fertility of the Soil which is not only a key element of ecology but also vital for farming and cultivation. We adopt scientific mechanisms to achieve superior and fertile soil. Healthy soil anchors the pattern of healthy plants, eventually a healthy planet.

  • Soil’s fertility will be enhanced by means of planting dichotomous plants such as Beans and Pulses which serve as cover crops. Besides enriching the nutrient levels, they improve the Nitrogen levels in the soil along with keeping the weeds under control.
  • The dichotomous plants also significantly augment the organic matter of the soil that in turn feeds the microorganisms, preserving the soil erosion.
  • Nutrient rich and soil with fewer weeds retains more water leading to less irrigation.
  • Superior soil consistency will be well demonstrated through proportional addition of Natural Minerals. Efficient soil preparation will preserve nutrients for future crops.

By and large, EarthenDelight participates in Global Cause for Ecology and Environmental Conservation through development and practice of eco friendly organic farming methods.
